new song from the new sounds.
new song from the new sounds.
today is a day of perhaps joy as a Portsmouth FC supporter, but to relieve all you who don’t have a care for sport, i’ll leave my sentiments until last.
so, since i put out the track ‘Man’, i have been very busy. i have played my first show back since last year, been recording and recording and announced a big show. I AM PLAYING THE WEDGEWOOD ROOMS. i shall be supporting my friends The B of the Bang on April 21st for their album launch at my local but legendary venue, of which i have played once before (supporting my hero, Lightspeed Champion). it is an honour to be asked and is being put on in conjunction with the wonderful Pie and Vinyl guys. more details can be found at http://www.facebook.com/events/584303971594938/ and for those local, i have a few tickets (so let me know if you’d like one) or you can buy them straight from the wedgewood rooms themselves here: http://tinyurl.com/BangWedge
it is the first release on the newly formed but ever beautiful Pie and Vinyl Records and they are streaming the album here, which i recommend heading to listen to: https://soundcloud.com/thebofthebang/sets/tremors-nosebleeds-the
before this, i also have a show in Brighton for good friends and with good friends and for charity at The Blind Tiger Club on 17th April, with all details to be found here: http://www.facebook.com/events/445761415501382/
all of this helps cure the (home/bedroom) studio cabin fever, so come along and hang out.
finally, football news. the portsmouth supporters trust has been given the green light to go forth and buy the football club. in principle, this is great for the fans, the club, football and the local area. today isn’t a day to air my doubts, but relish the prospect of the football world respecting the club i support and love and i do hope it all works out. hey, it gives me a good push that everything is a possibility, and we all need that, yeah?
